The Conseil Général of the Hauts de Seine and the Teuf-teuf club organized the Rallye des Ancêtres (Ancestors Rally). After 2001 the manifestation is moved near Compiègne. Each year at the beginning of October, the principle is to gather and ride with cars and cycles built before 1906. The start was in Chaville and the arrival to the stud farms from Jardy, with various halts and exposures.

It was the occasion to see interesting "ancestors" more closely.

Like this Hirondelle bicycle, model Superbe, which has the right name. On the right, the same one which is extract of the 1893 catalogue of the Manufacture Française de Armes et Cycles of Saint-Etienne. This bicycle who seems so light ce weighs 19 kilos and has only one gear of 4m50.

This 1904 Peugeot race bicycle is quiet similar to my referred models V28 and V33 (frame, fixed gearwheels, pedals...) without the racing handlebar.
