It's a 3 gears woman's bicycle from the 1950's.
 

 

It's the Cazenave mark from Belin close to Bordeaux, Gironde, France.

 

This bicycle was sold by the  "Cycles R. Ferrier" store in Guéret, Creuse, France in 1951. It was a life's part of Mrs. Olivier when she was student.

Chrome steel flat handlebar with SUFFREN rubbers levers.

Aluminium stem.

Aluminium chain guard.



46 teeth front gearwheel and 3 rear gearwheels of 22, 19 and 16 teeth, and so developments of 4m28, 4m97 and 5m86.

 

SIMPLEX 1949 rear derailleur.

It's interesting to notice that on this model the chain's carriage tensioner is reversed (upwards) compared to the current models. The chain's passage is more flexible but the tension ismore limited.
